TOMS company One for One (with every product that you purchase, TOMS will help a person in need).
TOMS stands
for ‘Tomorrow’s Shoes’. The unique tagline One for One means that every time
you buy a TOMS product, a needy person somewhere will also benefit.
In 2006
American traveler Blake Mycoskie was on a trip to Argentina. He saw children
who had no shoes and the idea for TOMS -One for One came into shape.
Mycoskie and his small team started by selling shoes and eyeglasses. By combining for-profit-entrepreneurship with philanthropy, he has managed to diversify extensively.
- TOMS also sells Baby bags, slippers, small purses and carry bags in knit and sweater combos.
- There is a ‘krotchet kids’ store as well.
- TOMS now also sells cups and saucers, soft booties, blankets, yoga mats and all kinds of winter boots.

annual warehouse sale every year geared towards helping others as usual.
Currently events are held in Tempe, Arizona and in cities of Ontario and San
Mateo in California.
Mycoskie
hopes to expand all over.
TOMS sells
out of Nordstrom in USA which happens to be their biggest retailer to date. It
also helps Mycoskie organize the ‘One day without Shoes’ annual campaign.

Mycoskie is
a high school dropout. He has no previous experience in shoes and no experience
in giving.
But his passion
about helping others has spread the aura of goodwill.
TOMS has currently
pledged to give 1,00,000 pairs of shoes to displaced Syrians. Mycoskie is
hopeful that the TOMS empire will encompasses all products one day.
There are
plans to diversify into Wine, ticketing and credit cards.
Welcome to a
