Positivity in the kitchen.

The kitchen is a very important part of our lives and cannot be neglected.
Recently I had my kitchen remodelled and learnt important tips on how placement and positioning of certain things prove to be healing.

The colours in the kitchen along with the seating and other placement of appliances, the doorway and direction of the kitchen entrance all go a long way in determining the health and harmony of the people involved.

Important Tips:
  • Warm colours and shades of green (green can be added via potted herbs even on a kitchen shelf) make a kitchen harmonious and the entrance should be in the southern or eastern side of the house.
  • Ideal kitchen tiles are in shades of green and blue. Kitchens should be square or rectangular in shape since this is the most beneficial.
  • The doorway should not be in the back of a person cooking food or facing the stove since this harbours discontentment.
  • The sink or refrigerator (water elements) should not be next to the cooking stove (fire) since these are opposing forces and can disrupt harmony in the house.
  • The kitchen should ideally not face a bathroom since this leads to germs and illnesses in the house. The kitchen should be well ventilated and clutter free.                                                                                                                                                       Remodelling or positioning items according to these kitchen fengshui or vastu tips go a long way in promoting good health and security between the inhabitants.
